
Dr. Scott MacKenzie |
Dr.Scott MacKenzie is a graduate in medicine
from the University of Alberta and obtained his specialty training in surgery at Memorial
University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, NL. He received his fellowship in surgery
from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1993 and was admitted as a
fellow to the American College of Surgeons in 1997. Dr. MacKenzie is a member of the
Newfoundland and Labrador Medicine Association, as well as a member of the College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. His special areas of interest include restoration
of the aging and sun damaged face and neck, and also techniques to restore volume and to
lift the face and other anatomic areas. |
He has a specific interest in developing and applying techniques
in aesthetic surgery that are minimally invasive, avoid incisions, and minimize downtime, but
at the same time maximizing results. He is a leader in lipo-dissolve therapy, which is an innovative
technique that dissolves fat deposits that cannot be successfully treated with diet or exercise.
Dr. MacKenzie is a member of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American
Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. These leading organizations provide cutting edge educational
updates and training programs to allow cosmetic surgeons to enhance and develop their skills
and abilities. He is also privileged to be part of an international “inner circle” of
cosmetic surgeons that meets four times a year to discuss and evaluate the latest techniques
in cosmetic surgery. |
